This is a stunning, stunning Art Nouveau desk accessory. The glass is iridescent and rich with purples, peacock blues, green and gold with a raised trailed design woven around the piece. It measures 3 3/8\" square x approx. 3\" tall. I believe the glass is Bohemian art glass and that the piece dates from 1900-1909. I have left it in the condition that I found it in. I do not see any markings on the piece. The inside has been used and has some ink stains in it. The inside of the cap is aged and antique. I do not know the metal type of the cap and the decoration around the base, but it appears to be plated. The outside of the cap is in good condition. Some of the gilding on the base looks to be rubbed off from use and wear mostly on the flower decoration. The glass looks in very good condition, with only some small pin prick bubbles that have burst from the glassblowing in a few spots. Please let me know if you have any questions.
