This is one of several beautiful little rarely seen early 1800s Georgian gold watch fobs or pendants with inscribed seals which we will be listing this week, and it is a spectacular little piece. It has a very ornate gold body, which appears to be a higher quality gold (but I have no way of testing its purity). There is a bloodstone seal on the base of the fob which is inscribed with a wonderful little butterfly - quite striking. The fob is over 5/8 of an inch tall, over 3/8 of an inch wide, weighs 2.1 grams, it has a very ornate gold body, a wonderful bloodstone seal with an stunning little inscribed butterfly, and it is in very good condition. Please view the closeup pictures and judge for yourself (the piece has not been professionally polished). A rarely seen beautifully decorated little Georgian butterfly seal fob which is a testament to the skill of the Georgian goldsmiths. In addition to being a wonderful collector\'s item, this piece makes a simply beautiful little pendant or charm, either for yourself or as a gift for someone else.
