This large showy brooch has enough shimmer and color to stand out anywhere. It is roughly 4 5/8\" x 2 and covered with a gorgeous array of rhinestones - clear onesthat pick up the gold tone in the metal, larger dark amber or topaz ones, and highly iridescent aurora borealis small rhinestones scattered throughout the tail feathers and and draped over the body, plus the crown on the bird\'s head. So impressive. The back is gold tone and has a somewhat long pin and safety clasp. Also, there is a large bail which could be for a substantial chain. I suppose a smallthin scarf could be threaded through, but not sure.

Very good condition; a few rhinestones look like they have spots of glue and a couple had chips and there is light cloudiness on some of the clear ones, but those were things that were seen under magnification and not especiallyobvious to the naked eye. There is one oddity. On the back, just under the large bail is a little amber rhinestone which I think was stuck there by accident. I\'ve scanned over the brooch a couple of times and haven\'t seen any missing stones;I decided to leave it.
