Shipping- Shipping price is for the lower 48 states. I package very carefully with bubble wrap and or peanuts and ship quickly, usually in the first 24 hours after payment is received. I will combine shipping on any items bought from me, provided they are all shipped together at the same time and in the same box going to the same address. I will not stuff a box to save on postage, if you order multiple items and they are breakable, I will not combine the shipments. Vintage Items- I specialize in vintage items, it is important that you examine items carefully before offerding. I welcome all questions.

While I try hard to get my description accurate, you must look at the pictures and remember that vintage is NOT new or mint. Unless otherwise stated, items WILL have age related wear. The older the item, usually the more the wear. My buyers should be knowledgeable collectors looking for vintage! These are usually items that are no longer manufactured or available retail. I buy at estate sales, yard sales and antique stores. I surface clean most, but not all of my items.- I just don’t have the time to clean everything! I try to describe my items the best I can. There is no intentional misleading information in my listings, but there may be a mistake or something missed occasionally due to human error. I am not an expert in any category, but expect the buyer (purchaser) to be. Please know what you are purchasing before you purchase it. Research is very time consuming and I do try and find the correct verbiage for all of my listings but I don’t have hours to spare for every item I purchase. Please do your homework.

My store is a business and I pay for each item I sell-with fees being approx. 15% and now charged on shipping costs- the fees are staggering. I am a good, honest, sincere seller. I'm not looking to get rich, but I'm not looking to give away my items either. This is a full time job and is how I pay the bills for my family- this is NOT a hobby, I do not do this on the side while collecting a paycheck somewhere else….

Offers- I have had to stop offers on many of my items because the offers were so low it was a waste of my time. I will be turning on auto decline on all of my offer pages to avoid the low ball offers. I am spending my days and weekends hunting down items for you! This is my full time job that I need to pay bills for my family. I try to ship the same day paid and I work hard to make your buying experience with me an easy one!

Smoking/Past Condition- I do not smoke, however the previous owner(s) might have. If you buy or collect vintage you must know that the items come from an era when the vast majority of Americans did smoke.

Most of my customers want items in their authentic condition which shows wear and proves age so I leave any deep cleaning to the buyers discretion. My items are sold in "as is" condition. I try to highlight any flaws over and above normal wear and tear but again, you must look at the pictures and please feel free to ask questions.

Returns and Refunds- I will issue full refunds under certain conditions as follows:

1. Full Refunds in cases of damage or loss from shipping after carrier has approved the claim. I will need several photos from YOU to verify to the post office that the item is in fact damaged. The damaged shipment must also be kept by you until the carrier has paid the claim.

2. Full Refunds ONLY if I have grossly misrepresented the item and you have returned the item to me at your cost in the same condition that I shipped it. You must notify me of your request to return the item within 3 days of delivery and mail the item back to me insured within 5 days. I will not issue a refund until I receive the item back in the same condition as sent to you.

3. The buyer and I have agreed upon a refund. All return items will be paid by the buyer per policy. This leaves both the buyer AND the seller out their shipping costs. You pay to return it and I had to pay out of pocket to ship it. We can avoid this in most cases with good communication and by asking questions before buying.

Hi friends, when purchasing an item from Red Barn Door you are acknowledging you have read the description of the item and understand no refunds are given unless the item is damaged by USPS. You have viewed the photos and understand size, condition, material, etc. in which you are purchasing. You have read and understand my terms below. If you have any questions, please shoot me an email, I am always happy to help!

Damaged Shipments: I take pride in my packing and am happy to say I had less than 10 damage claims the entire year of 2018. With this being said, unfortunately, BREAKAGE HAPPENS. I cannot control how USPS treats a package, nor can I personally deliver it to you, (I wish I could!) If a package gets delivered damaged, PLEASE keep in mind, I did not damage it.

I shopped for it, cleaned it, took pictures of it, wrote a description, posted it and kept it safe until you purchased it, then packaged it, boxed it and drove it to the post office- so in reality, who's really out the item and the money on damaged items? NO ONE wants a damaged item.

What to do when a package is damaged/stolen

DO NOT put in an "item was received not as described"...… this happened a few times this year and was frustrating. Sellers get "punished" by when this is chosen. The item was damaged in shipping by USPS, it wasn't a blue vase that arrived cracked & chipped that was described as purple and mint- see the difference? That would then be an "item received as not described"

Contact me first- it's easy, send me a message saying the item was damaged. I will need a total of four (4) photos with the email within seven (7) days of delivery. Three photos of the damaged item and one of the box it came in. I will then submit the claim to USPS. I will need the item shipped back to me at the buyers expense, why? I had several buyers (3) email me saying they received a damaged item (by USPS) and wanted their money back in full. I requested pictures of the item as well as the item returned and I never heard from them again.... makes me question if the item was damaged.... so now unfortunately, a few bad apples have left me weary.....once I receive the item back, I will refund the item (s) excluding shipping/insurance fees. Stolen packages: I do not carry insurance if someone steals your package off your porch, this is a matter for the police. If USPS has DELIVERED your package, and they have scanned that it has been delivered, they have done there job. It is now your responsibility to monitor where your package is. You can contact USPS but they will say the package was delivered and it is your responsibility to carefully monitor the status of your delivery. I DO NOT refund the order if your package was stolen, nor do I put in a damage claim with USPS. If you are concerned about your packages getting stolen, please look for alternative ways to get the package safely to you.

Shipping costs:

Shipping Calculator: I use USPS- please DO NOT email me asking me to calculate a price on shipping. There is a calculator on the post that you are able to use to calculate shipping fees. Shipping is from 80241 I do not combine shipping if there are any glass items. I ship out Monday- Friday.

Unfortunately shipping costs are astronomical. also takes a chunk of the shipping fee after a sale. After I purchase my boxes from Uline, (I am also using recycled boxes) add in tape, peanuts, bubble wrap, etc. and the TIME it takes to wrap each item and DRIVE to the post office daily for delivery - I've usually lost money. Please be aware of the fees associated with shipping before sending me an email asking why it's $11.50 to ship an item, I wish it wasn’t so high.....On the other hand, PLEASE contact me if shipping seems out of line. I felt terrible when recently someone kept low balling me on a pair of salt and pepper shakers only for them to finally email me and tell me that shipping was coming up at $20.00,- that's why they sent such low offers!! Of course the weight was in wrong (my mistake). We worked it out and the item was promptly shipped with an apology from me.

Combined shipping:


I do not combine shipping on glass items

I am no longer combining shipping unless an item is a set and sold as a set. I value getting your item to you in one piece and combining shipping increases the chances the items will get broken. The exception is if the items are not glass then combined shipping can be considered.
