Stunning Zoe Mozert Fine Art Glamour Illustration Published Magazine Cover 1940:
$4800.00

For your consideration, from the Grand Illusion Gallery, an original pastel done by Zoe Mozert. Striking image of a beautiful, dark haired female, with her head tilted upward. She has blue eyes and red lipstick. Flesh tones are lovely on the black background. One of Zoe\'s better early works, definitely from the golden age of glamour. I\'ve owned this for over thirty years and was told by the seller that he found it at a movie studio in southern California. Believe it was used for the cover of a film magazine. Measures 21-1/2 X 21-1/2, with a light brown, suede matt. Sold with a fluted, gold, 1\" frame. Shipping fee includes insurance.Mozert, a great illustrator, a woman before her time, known for glamorous advertising with perfume and beauty products. Also did 300-400 movie magazine covers during her career, as well as many calendar images published by Brown & Bigelow. She worked with the best calendar artists, Norman Rockwell, Maxfield Parrish and Rolf Armstrong, who was her mentor. Please write if you have questions.
