Quality French Art Deco Mantle Clock Set

A stylish quality French Art Deco mantle clock set. This delightful period clock has a tricolour coloured marble/onyx base to both clock and side pieces. Everything about this clock set says Art Deco, the dial is typical with stylised numbers, markers and hands and has a retailers name on it \'C. Rouillard, Horlogerie Bijouterie, Auray\', Auray I understand is a small coastal town in Brittany France. The bezel has very finely detailedflowers on it.

The finely cast female figure on the top of the clock is in period dress and is feeding a pheasant, this figure has a beautiful patina to it. The two side pieces are very nice, again with tricolour marble bases with gilt decoration to the bottom of the vase like tops, all in excellent condition. The movement is working and has its key but would benefit from a good clean and service. Condition is overall very good for its age with only the odd minor edge nibble and a historic repair to a small marble piece under the dial worthy of note. The clock measures 19in wide x 9.5in high x 4.25in deep, while the side pieces are 4.25in square at the base x 7.25in high approx. A superbly stylish and working Art Deco clock set, in excellent overall condition which would prove a superb addition to any home andis sold as seen.
