This is a really rare, authentichandmade Tibetan Crystal & Silver Crucifix that I picked up in Lhasa back in 2007. I was reallysurprised when I found it as Tibet is almost 100% Buddhist and Christian icons are generally not available... even though Christianity may have been practiced in Tibet as far back as the 6th or 7th centuries.I have included info about Christianity in Tibet below. This piece was expertlyhand crafted by artisans in the Shannan region of Tibet.
