Super Rare French Journaux Sewing Machine A Coudre Naehmaschine, About 1870:
Hard to find French Sewing Machine Journaux Leblond, La MenagereSaught after early French sewing machine, made by Journaux Leblond, Paris, about 1872 .
Journaux was one of the first sewing machine manufacturers of France. 1878 Journaux stopped producing sewing machines.
Journaux made many different sewing machine. This is the "La Menagere, Model "F" (F like flat base ).
The machine was only cleaned from dust. There is a lot of resinified (hardened ?) oil on painting and steel parts.
Some painting is gone, rust must be removed from steel parts. Hand crank seems not to be original, probably it replaced a hand wheel.
It is missing the needle, curved shuttle, tension and spoolpin.
Buyer can ask me for pictures of tension, shuttle and spoolpin if there is the wish to replace them.
There is a picture of a similar machine in the book of Peter Wilhelm: Old French Sewing Machines, page 69.I have a 100 % positive response, so please offer with confidence. If you have any questions please email me befor you offer.

P.S. It is the Journaux Leblond "La ménagère Modèle R", not model F, as written im my description. There never was a model F.
Yes, the machine has a cloth feed. It is the walking foot machanisme of the presser foot, and it works.
When you turn the crank, the foot makes "grabbing / walking" movements.
