Superb Antique Victorian c 1890 silver Scottish agate citrine bracelet brooch:

This is a superb antique sterling silver Victorian circa 1890 Scottish agate belt and buckle bracelet with beautiful unusual clasp. The bracelet is in beautiful condition and has a wonderful unusual clasp which allows the bracelet to be adjusted in length from 16 - 20 cm. The agate sections are all in lovely condition with no chips or cracks as are the facetted cairngorm citrines.
I have collected agates in Scotland for over 20 years and know where most of the lovely gemstones that Victorians used for their classic jewellery were found.
The Scottish gemstones are a stunning selection with grey oval cabochons of Montrose agateand a single oval cab of rare speckled cream and brown agate from near Luthrie in Fife. The facetted stones are all superb golden citrines from the Cairngorm mountain range which have been fully tested by a local jeweller to confirm they are genuine citrines.
The bracelet is made of sterling silver and although not hallmarked which is fairly normal for pieces from this period, has been fully tested and is sterling silver. The length is adjustable from between 16 and 20 cm which is six and a quarter to seven and three quarter inches. The unusual clasp is in lovely working condition and is original.( Please see close up pictures of it\'s operation)
