SUPERB RISQUE SOLID SILVER PICTURE CIGARETTE/CARD. DATE 1909.

A SOLID SILVER ENGLISH CIGARETTE/CARD CASE WITH A CHARACTER ART PIN UP PICTURE ON THE FRONT.
THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL CASE THAT HAS FINE ENGRAVING TO REAR AND A NICE BOW TO FRONT AND BACK GIVING IT EXTRA STRENGHT, ROUNDED EDGES MAKING IT VERY APPEALING TO THE EYE.

THE CASE IS FULLY HALLMARKED FOR SOLID SILVER SHOWING ANCHOR AND LION FOR MADE IN BIRMINGHAM, K FOR 1909 WITH THE WELL KNOWN MAKER SILVERSMITHS INITIALS OF S.B & S.Ld for S. BLACKSEE AND SONS Ltd. GIVING THE CASE A VERY INTERESTING HISTORY.

THE INSIDE HAS HALLMARKS TO EACH SIDE AND IS GOLD GILDED AND RETAINS IT'S ORIGINAL BAND.

THE CONDITION IS EXCELLENT AS SHOWN IN PHOTOS. THE CATCH IS CRISP AND THE CASE OPENS AND CLOSES WELL. HINGE WORKS LIKE NEW. NO MAJOR DENTS. DEEP SHINE TO PICTURE.

Items of a low value are sent Royal mail recorded whilst more expensive items are sent special delivery for buyer peace of mind. All overseas items will be sent via Royal Mail and will need to be signed for. Heavy items over 2kg will be be sent via Parcels to Go and will include insurance to suit.
