Superb Screw Tip Powder & Horn Hunting Bag Set By Art Decamp Nr For SaleThis is a superb bag/horn set made by Art deCamp and Craig Fisher. It was a featured item in the 2005 Contemporary Longrifle Association sale of 2005. Craig Fisher made the bag and Art deCamp made the horn. Art is one of the premier modern horn makers and this horn is no exception. It is a screw tip of the berks County, PA area. It has a turned walnut plug with integral button for strap attachment. The screw tip is turned from horn and is the typical Berks County style with simple tapered shape. There is an applied collar on the spout end of the horn to retain the carry strap and to reinforce the horn. The body of the horn is golden brown in color and was decorated with lead oxide spots in the form of polka dots. The bag is a single compartment, hand stitched, D shaped bag, with leather shoulder strap, and is constructed from medium brown leather which has been antiqued. It was additionally pictured in the August 2005 Muzzle Blasts magazine. It also comes with a letter from Art deCamp stating the details of the set. And there is a copy of the Contemporary Longrifle Association publication The Broadside, where it is featured. This one is as good as it gets, you will not be disappointed. Would look great with a Kentucky, Pennsylvania flintlock or percussion long rifle. and Free Shipping within the continental US.
