Survivor 1973 Wurlitzer 1050 Usa Silver Age Jukebox Juke Box Coin Op Bubbler :
Have you been looking for that survivor quality Wurlitzer 1050 Jukebox? This is a nice original survivor that is from a Midwest estate. Below is a video of the machine in action:
Many people do not realize that this was produced by Wurlitzer in Tonawonda, New York in 1973 as a reinterpretation of the phenomenal machines of the 1940's. This was the last American Wurlitzer to be produced prior to the company's closure in 1974. They designed this to try to recapture the glory days of the Golden Age machines, and there were under 2,000 of these machines produced. It is a 100 play machine that holds 50 records, and measures 58" x 36" x 39". This machine is highly collectible and not to be confused with the less desirable mexican produced Sonata or the Rock-Ola Nostalgia. This is the real deal and is in superb original shape for the age.

The cabinet is beautiful. Aside from a few small marks here and there, it is one of the nicest original cabinets we have seen. The plastics are beautiful aside from a few small stress cracks as shown in the lower pilasters, and the grill is also one of the nicest we have seen. This has seen little or no commercial use and it shows. We have the keys as well, and it even has the rare wired remote control for volume and record cancel. The cabinet and the original finish is outstanding. Note two small switches were professionally added very early in it's life for power and credit. They look factory even through they are not.
Mechanically, it does play but may need a tune up due to age. We played 25-30 records and they played well. The patina is superb! The photos do a great job documenting the condition. We could not find any reproduction parts on this box. Note the phenomenal shape of the original chrome, trim and plastic.
This example would make a great addition to anyone’s rec room, bar room, collection, media room, or arcade. Best of all, there is . We will let the market determine the value on this RARE piece. Best of luck in the sale.
Additional sale Details
Because of it’s age and the above, it is sold strictly as-is-as shown. That being said, please see my response and offer with confidence. If you have not owned a jukebox before, these are not CD players, and being 50 years old can be temperamental and are not meant for continuous use all day long. These are meant for occasional use and not for continuous or bar usage.
In addition, there are scrapes and scuffs on the box as you can see in the photos. The good news is that they reproduce most of the jukebox in the event of a problem, and there are many people that repair them. The most likely time of trouble is when they are moved.
