Swiss Army Bicycle - Circa 1940\'s.  Authentic, heavy, new \"old look\" tires:
$2475.00

Circa 1940s Swiss Army Courier Bicycle. Heavy, authentic, rides nice. New \"old look\" tires to keep the vintage vibe. Fantastic ride up to Starbucks or for a relatively short distance. I think the light comes on when you peddle but it may or may not be working. There is also a vintage pump but I have never used it or even unhooked it.
This wonderful bike was bought for me by my mother in the1980s from a company called Deutsche Optik (or something like that). I have ridden it probably 20 times to Starbucks up the road and often receive comments of praise from all who see it.

Yes, that is a leather pistol holder which nicely matches the seat. The leather storage (central panier) is also leather and was used to hold correspondences. I am including a small tin of Brooks Genuine Leather Saddle with Proofide Leather Dressing – you can treat and shine up the seat, holster, document carrier, etc.. The rear fender is a little bit bent but does not impede the back tire. I had this bike mainly mounted on the wall in my game room next to my vintage pinball machine. My understanding is that these bikes were often used “behind the front line” to shuttle key messages efficiently.

This is a heavy bike.Local Pick-Up only as the price to ship bicycles is very high and the weight of this one...

The bike has the inevitable amount of scrapes, dings, bends,etc.. It is probably 80 years old so but it looks & shows great. It is rideable. Consider it aged more than used (at least by me) but has a lot of character and patina from time.

I bought fresh “old look” tires for it about 5 yearsago. It has been “on display” elevated from my ceiling in my game room (e.g., with a Pinball machine, bar area, etc.).

Just got it tuned up by an expert shop here in Atlanta. Ready to ride and enjoy.

No returns because I am moving and it is heavy. Long-timee Bay member and user.
