Our captivating HMS Endeavour model is handcraftedfrom beautiful wood such as rosewood, mahogany, teak,and other high quality exotic woods.The hull is constructed using plank on frame construction, each strip of exotic wood is carefully joined together forming a smooth hull.

This model is completely hand built to scale by skillful and creative master craftsmen - you will be amazed at how real it looks. The ship has a clear varnished coating in addition to amazing details. The ship includes: a wooden bowsprit, foremast, mainmast, and mizzen mast. They are all connected to numerous fabricsails with detailed stitching, all rigging is painstakingly fastened by hand in matching colors. On the main deck,there are 3 wooden boats sitting on top of a bunker, a wooden cabin, and a wooden frame with a metal bell. On the quarter deck, there is a navigational area with 2 metal steering wheels for thecaptain and 2 wooden cabins. There are wooden railings surrounding the beakdeck area toward the quarter deck area with metal cannons stationed on top. You can easily spot 2 rows of numerous windows on both sides of the hull. In addition, you will find supplementary crafted metal ornaments on the ship such as: anchors, lanterns, statues, and many more... There is also a wooden rudder for authenticity.

An attached wooden stand with a nameplate engraved \"HMS Endeavour 1768\" is standard with this model. Our model was built to scale through original plans, pictures, and drawings. HISTORY: In 1768 Lieutenant James Cook, Royal Navy, set sail on HMS Endeavour on a voyage of exploration and scientific investigation. Through his journeys Cook became known to be one of the greatest explorers. In 1770 Cook reached New Zealand where he circumnavigated and completely charted the north and south islands before continuing west. In April, he sighted the east coast of Australia and sailed north along the coast before anchoring in what he named Botany Bay. He then continued north to Cape York and on to Jakarta and Indonesia. During the four months voyage along the coast Cook charted the coastline from Victoria to Queensland and proclaimed the Eastern part of the continent for Great Britain.
