Taylor Early Calif1930's Spanish Revival Tile Top Table Santa Barbara Mission:
This Taylor Tile Early CA 1930's table depicts the rare Santa Barbara mission pattern on six 6 x 6 inch tiles set in their original wooden table. Every tile shows some wear, including chips and cracks. Some grout is missing around the edges and in the center of the table top. This rare pattern is hard to find, especially with six intact tiles. WHen it is found, it sells for a lot of $. This is a particularly attractive wooden table frame due to its intricate carving and woodwork. it is sturdy and the wood is in very good condition and fairy tight considering it's age. One of the decorative corner pieces is missing from one on the lengthwise sides of the table. It is not very noticeable and doesn't effect the structure or integrity of the wood at all. These tiles are not in perfect condition. On a scale of 1-10, ten being optimum, I would give this table a 6 for condition. Of course, if it were a ten, I would start the sale at $500. When i purchased this table last year, the wood was covered with yellow paint. I stripped the paint and stained the wood. Table has not been varnished and I will leave that to the buyer's discretion.I am starting the sale at $1 simply because I love the thrill of the sale. Everyone has an equal chance when the sale starts at $1. offer with confidence= item is guaranteed to be as described.
