Teeny Channel Master Micrette 1964 Transistor Radio In Clamshell Case Sanyo 6448:
Not much bigger than a couple of 9 volt batteries, the Channel Master (Sanyo) 6448 "Micrette" is my favorite micro radio. It is a pure style winner, with beautifully clean lines and has Tinkerbell perfect scale. Even inside its clamshell case, it fits neatly inside the shirtpocket. It is a wonderful radio, and is Sanyo's first and only truly micro sized radio. Sarah, of transistor.org states: "A cool, tiny radio that appears also under the names Englishtownand Sears, the 6448 came in a nice presentation box."The6448is featured in anumber of websites devoted to classic transistor radios,
This exampleis in excellent cosmetic and working condition. There are no chips or cracks in the plastic, and the speaker grill is about as good as it gets. The only detractor is some typicalflaking of the chrome trim paint around the grill. The set also comes with the wrist strap wrist strap (which attaches with a clip to the bottom of the radio). The radio calls for two "N"1.5v batteries. The battery compartment is pristine. The radio works with good volume and received several stations across the dial.
