THE BEST 18TH C TIN TINDER BOX WITH CANDLE HOLDER IN ITS ORIGINAL GRUNGY SURFACE
A RARE LATE 18TH CENTURYTINNED IRON TINDER BOXwith Attached Candle holder, New England, Circa 1770-1810 in it's old original surface and patina.
A fantasticEXAMPLE of a very rare form. In near perfect condition and with its original surface and patina. It has a wonderful rolled attached handle and a great seamed and rolled candle socket for use as a light after you would fire your tinder.
It still retains its original tin damper inside. It has a nice curled handle. You would use this to extingwish the flame.
There are no restorations or losses. The surface is old and the patina and color are the very best.Every solder seam is intact and there are no breaks or rips.
