This vase is a true masterpiece and has wonderful and unusual form. It stands on splayed foot with a bulbous body that tapers into a small and rolled neck. The base of the neck is accented with raised panels painted in various patterns and colors. The body of the vase is painted with incredibly detailed scenes of various figures engaged in different activities in various settings. Color and gilt work is strong as can be seen in the photos. Pictures really do not do this piece justice. It stands 5.5 inches (14cm) tall and measures about 5.25 inches across the body. The underside has a lightly impressed mark. It is difficult to read but appears to be a Kinkozan mark. Condition of the vase is excellent with no chips, cracks, or restorations.
