Book description: Published by Hodder and Stoughton undated but circa 1930, this is \'The Sleeping Beauty and other Fairy Tales\' retold by Sir Arthur Quiller Couch and illustrated by Edmund Dulac.There is no dust-jacket. The bright blue boards are in very good condition with bumping at the top and bottom of the spine. There are 14 tipped in colour illustrations by Edmund Dulac all with their captioned guard except for the frontispiece. One of the plates is missing (there should be 15) but someone has stuck another plate onto the back of the first free end-paper which does not appear to be part of this book. The tipped in illustrations are mounted onto buff paper which is also tipped in. One guard is loose and one is creased but all the illustrations are in lovely condition. The pages are all intact, some are foxed especially at the beginning and end of the book. There is a book plate and a previous owner\'s name on the first free end-paper. The stories are \'The Sleeping Beauty\', \'Blue Beard\', \'Cinderella\' and \'Beauty and the Beast\' all firm favourites with the added advantage of Dulac\'s beautiful illustrations.This is a lovely book, it has been read and enjoyed.
