Thomas A Edison Photograph 7 X 10 Signed "to C M Viley" Family Estate C1920s For Sale
This sale is for a photograph of Thomas Edison in brown tones measuring 7" X 10" and signed "To C M Viley Thos A Edison". The photo is copywrited by Walter Scott Shinn, N.Y. and has pencil notes on the top back of the photo which are partly missing due to pieces that are broken off from the top of the photo border. We obtained the photo from a C M Viley family member's estate in Oxnard, CA. The photo was stored inside the front cover of an historic magazine that we obtained from the estate. C M Viley worked for the Thomas Edison Company that made recording devices and was employed during the 1920s.
Photo is unframed and has condition issues. Pieces are missing from the top border, there are cracks along the left edge, there is a small tear on the top, some small chips, and fingerprints on the reverse side. Autograph is clear, appears to be written with a fountain pen. Photo print is brown on cream. PLEASE LOOK AT PHOTOS WHICH ARE PART OF THE DESCRIPTION.
