Tin Battery Op Fire Chief Motorcycle Tricycle W Driver Bell Nomura Japan For Sale

I'm selling a very nice tin battery operated fire chief motorcycle or tricycle made by Nomura (T.N.) of Japan. The toy measures 10 inches or 26 centimeters long and it stands 7 inches or 18 centimeters high. The trike is complete and all original with the exception of the front headlight bulb and plastic cover, which is missing. It is in very good, lightly played with condition. The surface of the tin is in very good condition. The colors are beautiful, glossy and vivid and the very intricate lithography is in great shape. The driver figure is in very nice shape, his arms are still very tightly connected to the body. The chrome is in great shape and the rubber tires are still soft and pliable. The toy does have some wear, there are some small scratches and minor rubs and there are a couple of tiny touched up areas of red along one small edge. The battery case is in great shape, very clean with shiny battery contacts. It takes two D batteries and the toy does work. When you turn it on, there is a loud bell sound and the toy travels in a circular path before turning into a figure eight like pattern. The front headlight should light up, but obviously cannot since the bulb is missing. The wiring is still in place behind the handlebars, however, so it should be a pretty simple fix for someone who knows anything about electricity. Nomura was second to none in making large service vehicle toys with drivers and entertaining battery operated actions. This is one of the best and it is somewhat hard to find. This example is not perfect but it looks great and works very well. As with all battery operated toys, I can only guarantee that it will be working when it leaves my care. I will pack it very, very well but I cannot protect every item from the bumps and bounces of the USPS. I think they generally do a great job getting fragile toys from one place to another in excellent shape, but once it leaves me, it is out of my control. For that reason, the toy is being sold "as is" when it comes to the battery operation of the toy. I'll do everything I can do to get this where it is going in great shape as it deserves very careful handling.
