Hello Guys! Those of you who already know me, know I'm a SERIOUS ANIMAL LOVER!! On a regular basis, I find dogs that are needing help of some kind whether it be just simple meal or bath, or medical attention of some kind. I already have other dogs that are fairly expensive to take care of themselves, but for the most part, I still ever so often have a little extra money to help the others when need be, BUT- Yesterday, my daughter & I found a female Blue Heeler Mix that had puppies a few weeks back & someone had just taken them away from her. Someone just took the Puppies & left HER at this place where she was with them where she could not get to any food or water. She kept looking for them, it was so sad. She also was really sickly & bony, unable to hardly stand, (Lethargic, diarrhea, etc.) You can tell she's been severely abused over & over, the tip of her tongue is missing on 1 side, she even still had lots of oil in her hair where someone had poured hot grease on her trying to make her go away. You could tell immediately she is scared of almost everything, & seems to be especially fearful of "Doorways". I've never felt a dogs bones sticking through their skin like this ones are, my whole fist will fit down into a 'crater' like area between her shoulder blades she is so emaciated. As SICK as this dog is, she is SO sweet & docile, we put her in the car, went and bought her food, & she did not move all evening or all night, (I think partly due to trying to be on her 'best behavior' for fear of being returned back to where we found her). She is so gentle, although I am sure alot of it is probably simply due to simply being TOO sick to do anything else, but she has those loveable, expressive eyes that just MELT you when you look at her, like she is saying "PLEASE Help Me!" So, I just cannot stand it, we're going to try to get this dog healthy & happy again & of course give her a home. She was at the Vet ALL day today, & NOWHERE near well, AND has a lot more to go through, just TODAYS damages are why I decided to sell my Belt to begin with. NOW is a TERRIBLE time for me financially, I won't get into all of the details as to why, just believe me I did not need to spend $20 on anything extra this month,..but it's either do this, or let her die, because I do NOT have the money to get this dog straightened out on my own,..(&..you can bet that's the ONLY reason I am able to Part with it! This Belt is GORGEOUS, though,..so this is not Easy for me,..even WITH looking into her BIG BROWN EYES!!) Ha! No seriously, there's just really nowhere around here that can help with strays, we have an animal shelter, but they stay full, I hear most times they tell people they cannot take anymore in. If they don't get adopted out fast, & that isn't big here either with the economy like it is & all the poverty in this area, I hear they are put down pretty fast. She has such a light in her eyes, she has such a sweet disposition, I just think she's really special, & my daughter & Grandkids have already named her, "Molly",..she LOOKS like a Ms. Molly, too! She's a little lady that's down on her luck, had her babies taken away & so sick she's just not doing too good, but we're going to get her straightened out with this gorgeous JOAN SLIFKA BELT! You'll see these things sell for up into the THOUSANDS, (I saw a Multi-Colored Heart Slifka Concho Belt sell for $4,500 on the Castle Gap website a few months back, by the way!
