Two 1/9 Plate Tinted Ambrotypes In Book Style Cutting Case - Very Beautiful Kids For Sale
TWO 1/9 PLATE TINTED AMBROTYPES IN BOOK STYLE CUTTING CASE - VERY BEAUTIFUL KIDS - You are offerding on an incredible pair of ninth plate tinted ambrotypes of a sister and brother. The images are housed back-to-back inside a book style cutting case with the front and backsides of the case lined in black velvet. The case itself I might add is fairly rare; especially in this condition. The sister is an angelic beauty and wears a large brimmed black hat with a matching ribbon. She sits wearing a choker around her neck with gilt applied to her locket and she holds a fantastic tinted bouquet of flowers in her hand. Her cheeks and lips are nicely rouged as well. Her brother appears to be like the typical boy, sitting rather bored with his elbow place upon the table and sitting cross-legged. His plaid shirt is toned red and black and the tablecloth has been treated similar to his sisters floral arrangement. Condition: The ambros are in very nice condition with normal amount of wear for their age. The mark on the left side of the boys image is not a crack or scratch but appears to be a ripple in the photo emulsion and does not stand out nearly as much as in my scans. The case is in amazing condition with the original hinges on the spine as well as the clasp is in fine working order. Please see my detailed photos for
