You are looking at two beautiful antiqueChinese lamps. We love these lamps and have enjoyed using them very much, but we are moving and we just will not have a place for them in our new place. This sale is for a pair of lamps (2).

We bought these lamps some years ago at an estate sale held at a large beautiful house high on a hill overlooking the Lake San Marcos Resort. The sale was run by California Estate Services. When we purchased the lamps they gave us a Market Analysis / Purchase Statement. The paper states that the lamps were purchased in 1956 for the residents of the house from the Monroe Lamp Company of Los Angeles, California for the sum of $15,000.00 and that the two lamps were made in the 1850\'s.The lampsare madeof bronze. Also, the paper states that the lamps were purchased as investment quality antiques.

When the \"Antique Road Show\" was in San Diego we were able to acquirer tickets to attend. We took the lamps to the Show. The appraiser that was shown the lamps loved them and agreed with the market analysis that we were given. Because of the investment quality of the lamps their value has increased greatly.

The photos show the lamps with shades, but they are not included in this sale. You would be welcome to the shades but they would have to be packed and shipped separately at an additional charge. The shades are old and probably not worth the additional shipping charges. You are welcome to pick up the lamps and shades locally and save yourself the shipping charges.
