Two Vintage Covered Cloisonne' Tiny Vessels Or Boxes W/feet-different Patterns:
Here is a pair of Cloisonne' covered and footed jars! They are just alike in size, but vary in enamel patterns and style. They each measure 1.75 inch in diameter and 1.50 inches tall with the covers on. They each have three brass feet and a finial on top of the lid. Everything is tight and there are no dents. Both pieces have dark backgrounds with more colorful enamel embellishments. Both have a large headed creature going all around the widest part of the bottom. The jar on the left in the pictures has a white and teal flower on the bottom. Its top is smooth. The jar on the right in the pictures has a beautiful and large flower on the bottom in shades of blue. The rest of the colored enamel decorations (which look like clouds) adhere to the surface, but don't have the background filled in to make it feel smooth, like most Cloisonne' vases I've seen. The insides of the jars are covered with a pretty teal enamel. One jar has a 1/4 inch cracked area inside. This is directly over where one of the feet was attached. I bought this pair in the 1990's at an estate sale on the east coast. I'm not sure of their age. I'm starting the sale very low with !
