here is a modified 1/10 scale tamiya bronco R/C truck i just finished building for you guys to offer on. i hope you enjoy looking at it half as much as i enjoyed building it!
the first thing you will notice, is that this truck was lifted high enough to fit a set of (4 inch diameter) RC4WD 1.9 steel bead-lock wheels and \"mudplugger\" tires. suspension travel and wheel clearance is still excellent even with these huge wheels.
the steering system on the CC01 chassis hasa lot of slop in it in stock form, and this becomes a big issue when over-size tires are fitted. i solved this problem by upgrading the brass ball-ends with larger 6mm ball sockets. i also shimmed all the play out of the steeringbell cranks, and i also added a new better quality link coming from the steering servo. i eliminated much of the \"brick wall\" on the front of the chassis for more ground clearance, then i raised and tucked-in the frontskid plate/brushguard for a morerealistic appearance. all these mods have a factory look with fully sanded and polished edges. ididn\'t want to lose that \"new truck feeling\" with a bunch of rough edges, yuck!
i included a pic of this truck next to my brat scaler project to show you just how tall this beast really is!
