Sharp copy with stunning color on the cool front cover. Lead story \"The Treasure of the Bolgani\" takes up most of the comic. The other story is Boy, in \"The Baboons\' King.\"FRONT COVER- penciled dealer\'s code in the \"T\" of TARZAN with previous owner\'s number code above the \"R\" and \"Z\" and 1949 penciled under \"July-Aug\" and Vol. 1 No. 1 above \"Edgar Rice.\" A very light brown stain along left side of bottom edge otherwise all edges sharp.SPINE-bump to top of spine with a little rubbing into back cover and some compression into Dell logo on front. Slight rub at bottom of spine. Both staples tightly into spine holding all 36 pages, including centerfold and cover, tightly together. No tears at staples but some stress lines across spine.BACK COVER- a wonderful portrait of a Mangbattu Warrior in ceremonial headdress. A hint of rubbing across middle of top edge but otherwise sharp.
