Telechron Art Deco Skyscraper Clock For Restore Repair 1929 - 1931:
Thismagnificent clock is a model 700 made by Telechron from about 1929 through 1931. They called this model the "Electrolarm". As the name implies, it is an electric alarm clock, but that understates its effect. The bell inside is powerful enough to wake the soundest sleeper with its raucous jangle. There is nothing understated about the skyscraper styling, either. It was designed at the pinnacle of the Art Deco period.
It has it's original cord but nothing works when plugged in.There is a half circle piece missing from the back. See photos for details. The skyscraper appearance is accentuated by the brass ridges running up the front and sides. Also brass trim with red at the bottom. The mirrored glassshows age.The gold starburst pattern on the face with the classic Art Deco numerals is gorgeous. It's about 8" tall, 6" wide, and 4" deep. Weighs over 3 lbs also.Rear knobs are present. Has toggle switch for alarm-on-off and a stalk for restarting on power failure. Has it's original cord but nothing happened when I plugged it in. My camera makes it look lighter than it really is - it's dark brown (espresso) color.
