This is an original antique 19th century brass B&H banquet lamp with hand painted floral glass shade. The lamp is marked \"The B&H\" and has the original B&H fill cap and burner with patent dates in 1890 and 1896. The base is marked B&H and numbered 20,413. There was bright, shiny gold gilding on the entire lamp at one time, but it is worn off of the entire lamp except the bottom of the base, and the lamp currently has a dark, aged patina. The glass shade is not original to the lamp but is from the same time period and fits perfectly. It has four floral panels with hand painted flowers and a light turquoise color along the top and bottom edges. The shade has a crack all the way up one side that has been repaired (shown close-up in the photos) and there are some tiny flakes of glass missing along the crack. The repair is solid and there is no movement at the crack, and it is not very noticeable. The glass chimney is missing from the lamp but the rest of the lamp is complete. It measures 23\" H with the shade, the base is 6 1/2\" square, and the shade measures about 10\" in diameter. It will be packed securely and insured during shipping.
