MUSIMA RECORD made in GDR/Germany in the 1950's:
Thinline 17" archtop body with venetian cutaway. Nicely figured 3-ply spruce/mahogany top with the typical 'German carve', bookmatched solid maple sidesand carved 3-ply maple/mahogany back. Glossy translucent amber finish.
Overall length: 42.5" (108cm), Scale: 25.4" (64.5cm).
Neck-width: 44mm at the nut / 52mm at the 12th fret.
Body: 17" (43cm) wide, 20.85" (53cm) long and 2" (5cm) deep.
Ebony fretboard with 21 frets plus zero-fret, MOP fret markers. Slim D-shaped bolt-on 'everstraight' mahogany / maple neck with ebony stripes. String length compensated heigth-adjustable ebony bridge.
A truly professional instrument with clear jazzy voice, long sustain and perfect separation of single notes. Great for all kinds of music, especially for jazz and swing.
The guitar is equipped with two high-output SC pickups with adjustable pole pieces. 4-position PickUp selector rotary switch, 2x volume controls and 1/4" jack.
The electronic works and sounds great.
Very good condition considering the age. Two tiny holes from a pickguard that is missing. Some dents, spots, scratches and other traces of use are present of course. This guitar sounds great and has therefore been played a lot.
Perfect straight neck, low action - app. 3mm at the 12th fret !

The guitar comes in a hard shell case shown on the photos. It is strung up with a brandnew set of Savarez Argentine 1610 silver steel strings.
