Three Beautiful 1850s Daguerreotype Photos Of The Mccallum Family // Great Cases For Salestyle="text-decoration:none" height="27px" valign="middle" face="arial" Wonderful set of three original 1850s daguerreotype photographs
of Ellen McCallum, her daughter Jennie, and her son Willie, all housed
in their original cases. All three dags are sixth-plate (1/6) in size. All three have some degree
of original hand-tinting, with the one of the Ellen holding Willie having
the most, including a beautifully done blue sky background.Cases are all approximately 3.75" x 3.25" when closed. The daguerreotype with the blue sky background has a photographer's
name stamped on the mat: Hawkins. This was the photographer
Ezekial C. Hawkins out of Cincinnati, Ohio.Condition
The dags are in very nice condition. Seals are no longer intact,
though there are only very tiny and insignificant mat abrasions.
No swipes, dings or other scratches noted. One or two copper
eruptions, as shown.Any white specks are just dust on the glass, exaggerated by
my camera/lighting, and not damage to the photographs. Two of thecases are especially nice and in beautiful condition, including their
velvet mats. The third has a little more wear, though it is also very
nice. The design on this case is rare!
