Three Charming Pencil Sketches Of Children From The Circle Of James Henry Dowd:
Three charming double sided pages from an artist's sketchbook dating to the first half of the 20th Century. They are all pencil studies of children and some are inscribed. None is signed but the artist that immediately springs to mind is James Henry Dowd, who was an illustrator of books such as People of Importance, Important People and Serious Business.
Condition is fair to reasonable. They are on thin laid sketchbook paper. There is some soft handling creasing, minor age toning/pale foxing, a little smudging and other minor blemishes here and there. However, they should frame up beautifully.
Size: each 4.5 x 6.5 inches (approx.) overall - unframed
