Offered is a:~ Tipp & Co (Model Nr.176) 6 Wheeled-Truck With Anti-Aircraft Gun ~A German produced tinplate Tipp & Co Anti-Aircraft Gun mounted on a 6 wheeled truck (Fliegerabwehraut), made between 1939 and 1941.The set comprises of a 6 wheeled Horsch type truck with a 88mm flak gun mounted to the rear. The truck is finished with an early WWII colour camouFlage scheme of grey and green. The printed tin litho is all original. All of the metal wheels are made of tin and feature printed tire detailing. The rear wheels are driven my a motorized clockwork engine.The gun with sprung breech action can be traversed & be held in an elevated position. The cap cannon still works. The original twine is still wound on the front and back winch. The drivers door can be opened (it even has a handle), the steering can be adjusted, there are winches at the front and back, the ammo box opens. One of the front fenders appears to be missing, but I am sure one can be found online from a junked truck or parts box.~Tipp & Co~Tipp & Co was founded in 1912 and named after an early director/employee, Miss Tipp. It's ultimate owner, Phillip Ullman, was forced to flee Germany in 1933. He went to England, where he founded Mettoy, eventually returning to Germany to recover his company after the war. Tipp's military vehicles are among the finest clockwork tin toys produced in the pre-War era as well as one of the better companies that produced tin windup toys of high quality such as Marklin, Lineol, Gama, and Elastolin.~ Dimensions ~The truck has a length of 11 inches (28cm), a width of 3.5 inches (9cm) and a height of 4 inches (10.25cm).
