This is beautiful Chippendale pattern of Towle Sterling Silver. These items have never been used and most have not been opened. A few items (steak carving set) have experienced tarnishing due to the original wrapping being opened. Most remain sealed and are in Like New condition. The graceful, curving leg of an 18th Century chair is the inspiration for the sweeping curves in every detail of this design. For example, only in Chippendale does the end of the handle sweep out in a graceful flare - just like the mark of the master, Chippendale himself. Delicate raised lines and tiny flowerlets on both the front and back of the handle accentuate the smooth curves of the pattern. All elements are perfectly balanced, which makes Chippendale so classic and enduring.
