Offering a true vintage/antique very large gold ormolu filigree jewelry casket. This gorgeouscasket has a very unusual shape. It measures 8 1/2\" across x 5\" deep x 4\" tall and has a pinkish peach beveled glass lid. Tufted velvet inside, velvet underside as well. Tons of ornate gilt ormolu. Unmarked.

I found the casket in the basement of a turn of the century Victorian home here at the Jersey shore. While in good condition, there is a soiled spot on the velvet inside (3rd pic), possibly an old lotion or perfume stain. I haven\'t tried to clean it, but a spot cleaning should help. A couple of small light scratches to the glass lid, seen mainly when held into the light.

It\'s truly a beautiful old jewelry casket. So very large and elegant! It will display beautifully in your boudoir!
