Early officer’s cap

I have been unable to determine the actual age of this cap,but I believe it to be early 1900’s. Ithas a colored band but no chinstrap. Thecap badge is unusual as it is simply the American eagle but without the normalwreath of stars found on later versions. It has not been broken. Please viewthe pics, which may help with the identification.
