U.s. Wwi Wool Overcoat W/ Overseas Chevron:
U.S. WWI Wool Overcoat. This was made by Pursch & Levin of New York with a August 10, 1917 Contract Date. There is no size, so we hand measured this on the Outside to be 20 inches across the chest from armpit to armpit, 18 inches across the shoulders and 25 inches from the shoulder seam to the end of the sleeve. There is no evidence of rank or unit patch but, the is one Overseas Chevron on the lower left sleeve. There is a large "U.S." stamped in the nape and the hanging loop is intact. There are 2 small moth holes on the top of the right shoulder, the left sleeve has several moth holes, one being "pinky" size, another being pencil sized and the others are very small. All the original buttons are intact and overall, regardless of the mothing, this is still decent for being 100 years old.
