A fantastic example of pyrite with dolomite from the Duff Quarry in Ohio!!! This specimen hosts a magnificent showing of highly complex diploid pyrite crystals in aesthetic association with white dolomite crystals, lining vugs in characteristic matrix!!! The pyrite crystals are sharp, complete, and well defined!!! The crystals have a brilliant metallic luster and a showy iridescent patina that is much more prominent in person!!! These complex, diploid pyrite crystals are quite striking in person - and when they are paired with an iridescent patina and accented by bright white dolomite - they are simply stunning!!! Fine examples of this material are seldom seen and highly prized by collectors!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
