This is a very unusual qualityGermanStein. Itstands about 9 1/4in tall from base to top oflid. The stein is about6 in tall without the lid. The stein is of porcelain construction and has the original pewter lid/ thumb lift. Nothing on this stein has been tampered with in any way. The stein is hand paintedandappears to be a genuinepewter original lid / thumb lift. THE BEST PART IS THAT ITHAS A LITHOPANE!!! I took about 25 pictures and the two that you see are the best that I could get. I believe you can blow them up on the screen. It is theGerman guy dancing with his lady friend.I do not know the maker of this stein. My dad got it from a German home about 50 years ago but it dates to the turn of the century and is the real thing. Ibelieve it is a 1/2 liter and this is hand written as is the German title which Ido not know what that says. Please examine the hand painted German scene which is not an applique but hand painted as is the wording , pinstripes and base painting. There are a couple of minorscratches on the painting but hardly worth a mention. This is a good piece from the turn of the century and has sat ina closet most of its life. Ifyou know anything about the maker of this stein and feel like sharing please do so. We are clearing out our homeand are on a mission to clear out because I turned into an old guy!!There are no chips, cracks or repairs. S/H packed right !!!!is 10.95.
