UNUSUAL CHINESE GILDED BRONZE POT- QIANLONG MARK - 19TH CENTURY - :
$95.00

A very unusual, Chinesebronze lidded jar. Gilded floral decoration, with the character for \"Good fortune\" to one side and a lengthy inscription to the other. I have never seen a pot like this and I\'m unsure about its use, but the lid has a screw thread and tight fit, suggesting it was used to contain a liquid. There is a gilt, four character Qianlong mark to the base, but the pot probably dates to the 19th Century. Measuring 3\" high (not including the handle) and 5\" in diameter. In goodcondition.
