Unusual Zuni/acoma? Pueblo Painted Pottery Owl Figurine Vtg/antique For Sale
This sale is for a charming, hand formed and painted
pottery figurine from the estate of a local collector. The owl is approximately 3-3/4 inches
tall, 3-1/4 inches in wide and 3-1/8 inches deep. It has an unusual open beak and raised wings (see photos).
The collector used small tags with the dates on the bottom. Many of these have worn away or are
illegible. You can see the numbers
‘05’ on the remnants of this tag that could be the estimated or actual age of
this piece or the date of acquisition. There are no major cracks, chips or
repairs but there are tiny areas of missing paint that are visible in the
photographs.
