Us 1773 Continental Currency Five Shillings Pennsylvania Fine+ 1773:
This is an Original American Revolution eranote ("Continental Currency")from Pennsylvania. Denomination: "FIVE SHILLINGS". Dated "the 1st Day of October, 1773". Size: approx. 3" X 3 3/4" . Color: Heavy tan/brown paper, w/Red & Black over-printing. Hand-signed & numbered in brown ink. Note is in Nice Condition overall, with aheavy vertical "fold-line" + note is somewhat irregular around the edges; otherwise, o.k. Note grades Fine+ or slightly better. Front side has a Nice decorative border surrounding a statement of release, with a Logo representing--I presume--the Colony of Pennsylvania; while the back/reverse side has the words "To Counterfeit is Death" at top & "Printed by HALL and SELLERS" at the bottom. Note still has lots of detail, especially the front side! LOW beginning offer! ! Buyer pays $2.45S&H, extra for postage outside the U.S. ***Please see scans. I am showing Both sides of the note. These old Colonial American notes are becoming harder and harder to find and are VERY Collectible!
