This is an Original American Revolution eranote (\"Continental Currency\")from Massachusetts. Denomination: \"FIVE DOLLARS\". Dated \"the Fifth Day ofMay,1780.\". Size: approx. 2 3/4\" by 3 1/2\".. Color: Heavy tan/brown paper, w/Black & Redover-printing. Hand-signed & numbered in brown ink. Note is in Nice Condition,however, ithas been \"punch-canceled\", i.e. there is adime-sizedhole/cut just off-centerin the middle + there is some old \"tape residue\" at the top & bottom of the back/reverse side; otherwise, o.k. Note grades EF+ or slightly better. Front side has a Nice decorative border surrounding a statement of release + the words \"STATE OF MASSACHUSETTS-BAY + FIVE DOLLARS\" at the top, while the back/reverse side has a large \"Five Dollars\" + a large engraved decorative \"frame\"surrounding a roundMassachusetts State \"Logo\" or Emblemat the topcenter + the words \"Printed by HALL and SELLERS.\" at the bottom.
