The 12th Air Force was the tactical air force in the Mediterranean Theater, flying B-25 \"Mitchell\" medium bombers and P-38 fighters in wide ranging raids from Bulgaria to Greece and the Balkans.This US Army AAF WW2 12TH AIR FORCE NAVIGATOR NAMED + ID\'D \"PINK\" WOOL DRESS SHIRT is in excellent condition, with some loose threading to the middle front button, two very small surface nicks at the left chest, the numbers \"6082\" hand marked in black at the interior lower right front placket, some \"browning\" to the neck lining, and with some light scattered age wear evident (ALL pictured). Otherwise, the shirt is in excellent shape, with absolutely no rips, holes, tears, or other damage to the elegant \"pink\" wool gabardine construction. Most interestingly, it bears the classic felt embroidered AAF \"winged star\" patch at the left shoulder, carries \"Lt. J. PADUANA\" and his officer\'s service number faintly stamped on the rayon neck lining, and sports the name \"J.A. PADUANA\" beautifully chain stitched in red along the front right hem.Captain Joseph A.
