Us Army Campaign Medal Group – Numbered Medals For Sale
Group of three US Army medals that were issued to Col. Sanford H. Wadhams, Medical Corps. They are the Spanish War Service # 1496, Philippine Campaign No. 1096 and a WWI Victory with France bar. All of the medals are in excellent condition except for a small spot of glue on the back of the Philippine ribbon which is not visible from the front. Also included is the box for the Victory Medal. Wadhams was born in Connecticut in 1874. He was awarded a Distinguished Service Medal for service with the AEF during WWI, current location of this medal is unknown. All of his service, from 1900 to retirement in 1921, was in the Medical Corps. The photo is from his passport application on Ancestry.com.
