US Army assault troops in the Normandy invasion were issued two piece \"frogskin\" camouFlage HBT uniforms. Most of these uniforms were withdrawn soon after D-Day due to the pattern\'s similarity to that worn by elite German units. This pair of US Army WW2 D-DAY NORMANDY FROGSKIN CAMO HBT COMBAT FATIGUE PANTS are in very good condition, with moderate fading to the front knees, several small holes and tears at the inner knees, a small tear in the front right thigh, a long tear down the right end of the gas flap at the interior front waist, the initials \"JR\" hand marked in black at the interior front right waist, some fading and \"browning\" to the nomenclature tag inside the right thigh pocket, an \"L\" shaped tear in the back right thigh, and with some scattered age wear evident (ALL pictured). Otherwise, the pants are in fine shape, with no other damage to the tough HBT 100% cotton construction. Most interestingly, they measure to a Size 30 Waist x 30.5 Inseam, retain a great amount of the vibrant frogskin camouFlage colors, and are dated \"Oct. 5, 1943\" on the original nomenclature tag inside the right thigh pocket. They are non-reversible, though are crafted of two-sided camouFlage material, boast a sewn gas flap,cargo thigh pockets,sewn knee reinforcements, and button ankle tabs, and sport all of the original brown plastic buttons throughout.
