US Army WWI or WWII Cartridge Belt:

For sale is a US Army (Or Marine Corps) Cartridge belt from the WWI period. It has reinforced canvas like pouch bodies with woven flaps along with Push-to-open flap fasteners. The fasteners and the eyelets are in very good condition. This belt was designed to carry 100 round of 30-06 ammunition on two 5-round stripper clips in each pouch. This belt can also carry 80 rounds of 30-06 ammunition on EN-bloc clips for the M1 Garand.
Markings include:
RIGHT SIDE: On back....\"L.C.C. & Co. RIGHT 9-18\" within a rectangular box
CENTER:....On Back...... \"L.C.C & Co. 9-18\"
LEFT: On back........ \"L.C.C. & Co. LEFT 10-18\" within a rectangular box
The buckles are blackened brass. All of the stitching is tight with no visible fraying. The only real detraction of the belt are two small paint stains (which may or may not come out) on the front of the Right 1st pouch and the back of the Left 4th pouch flap.
Even so, it is a very nice example of this type of belt and can still be very useful to a re-enactor, living historian or just to use in the field.
