Here is a scare helmet for you to consider. It is a USN Navy talker helmet. It is the largest helmet produced for US combat troops. When you think of the ration of how many ground troops there are vs. how many soldiers where on a flight deck, you get the picture of how few of these there are. Marked with both USN and McCord logo with MK2. Unlike many of these helmets, this one still retains the inner head cloth liner over foam cushion. It is missing the chin strap. Some of these were worn by the Marines on shore by artillerymen. This helmet is in sturdy condition with minimal surface rusting, scratching, and general soiling. No dents, cracks or chips and it is in its original blue color. This large helmet was designed to wide giving the wearer of the helmet ample space to use communication equipment, gas mask, binoculars, etc.
