Book Grading Service (BGS) is an alternative source to PSA for autograph authentication. In addition to this service we are uniquely provide the service of book grading. Like PSA in its beginning, which graded the condition of sports cards, BGS gives you the option of having your collectible books GRADED. Just like with sports cards the value of a First Edition book depends largely upon it's condition, especially the dust jacket. Book collectors know that collectibility and value are directly tied to the condition of the book's jacket. But until now there has been no consistent scale for grading and no system for performing a professional review of condition and then making sure, within reason, that the graded book remains in that condition as it was when graded.
