These are not the original drawings but blueprints of them. The USS Constitution is wooden hulled, three masted frigate of the US Navy, named by George Washington after the Constitution of the United States of America. She is the worlds oldest commissioned naval vessel afloat and was originally launched in 1797. The prints were acquired from an estate which had a family member whowas civilian contractor for the US Navy. He was an illustrator and somehow was able to have these prints made during his time there. The family believes the prints were produced in the 1960\'s. There are a total of 8 prints which range from approximately 3\'-10\' in length. The prints include: Sheer, Half Breadth, and Body Plan; Spar and Rigging Plan; 24 PDR Gun Bow Chaser; Gun and Deck Battery, 24 PDR Gun-English Type; Spar Deck General Arrangement; Midship Section; Inboard Profile. For the serious collector this would be an amazing addition to your collection!
